An initial public offering (IPO) refers to the process of offering shares of a private company to the public in a new stock issuance. In other words, public investors can buy the shares of the upcoming listed company for the first time.
There are many strategies to profit from an IPO. Some investors prefer to subscribe to IPO shares, positioning themselves well before the company goes public. While some investors prefer to buy post IPO, waiting to assess the market demand and sentiments if it warrants an investment.
